After a week away from school because of a foul odor, Grazettes Primary School students and teachers should be back in the classrooms tomorrow.
That’s according to Deputy Chief Education Officer Karen Best who was tightlipped about the cause of the odour that has seen children out of school because of what the Ministry of Education described as “an environmental problem”.
Classes ended early last Monday.
When questioned earlier today about the exact nature of the problem, Best responded: “All I can say is that school will be reopened tomorrow.”
When Barbados TODAY visited the community this morning, residents said they also experienced an unpleasant odor coming from the school’s property.
In a statement issued this evening, the Ministry of Education expressed thanks “to staff, parents, and guardians of pupils attending the school, for their patience and understanding during the recent closures”.
