Though sponsorship for the 2015 edition of Honey Jam Barbados is hard to come by, founder Ebonnie Rowe is singing the tune that the all-female multicultural, multigenre artistes showcase, featuring amazing live performances, is on.
It came as Rowe delivered remarks during last night’s launch of Honey Jam Barbados 2015 at Divi Southwinds in St Lawrence Gap, Christ Church.

Speaking about plans for this year’s jam, Rowe said that over the next couple of months there would be auditions, workshops and then the big show in November.
She explained that while this was a very hard time to receive financial support for almost any initiative in Barbados, it was frustrating for her “because every year we get better and better”.
“Those who know me, also know that I don’t get knocked down easily; and if I do, it’s only in seconds I am going to get back up.

“So the launch is happening. I have a strong belief in this initiative, both Honey Jam and Honey Jazz, and I have to keep that strong so it will all work out in the end,” said Rowe, who thanked those sponsors who came on board this year.
At the launch, there was great music by DJ D.Luxe and some other performances as well.
Over 70 artistes have taken part in the programme over the last five years, some of whom were present at the celebratory evening.
